The stupa is an important Buddhism structure; as architectural buildings, they were meant to house precious relics and were a place for meditation. Buddhists believe that circling around a stupa brings good merits and luck to them and their family. With a golden stack of intricately formed and detachable canopies gracing it's apex, this wooden stupa boasts a lower band of carved lotus petals that rises up into it's iconic silhouette. The stupa rest on a square plaque with Burmese calligraphy that most likely translated into a well wish.
